| Cost reduction due to safe processes |
|
This is the motto under which KIESELMANN presented a comprehensive programme at the INTERVITIS which maximises hygienic safety and saves operating costs. It covered shut-off valves, tank and safety fittings as well as sampling valves and process monitoring components.
KIESELMANN offers a great solution range in cleaning technology for tanks and containers. The orbital jet cleaners DunosO, for instance, are characterized by an almost loss free flow, an extreme lifetime and operational reliability. Different drives from liquid controlled turbines to ex protected motor drives are available. The performance of the cleaners can be perfectly adjusted to the cleaning requirements and thus reaches high effectiveness and minimised resource consumption. The different cleaners will be displayed in action at the KIESELMANN stand.
Using technical opportunities like the pig technology in order to save products and costs in a production plant is not only reasonable during an economic recession. Lots of resources of high quality media are often flushed from pipelines into waste water using even larger amounts of water. Here, enormous savings capacities are lying idle. For this purpose, KIESELMANN offers pigging systems which pay off quickly. Besides the Duplex version, an aseptic version will also be available. The aseptic pigs with integrated positioning are not joined together like they are by other producers, but they are cast in one piece. This additionally increases safety and lifetime. An integrated wear display makes the application even easier and safer. You can have a look at the functionality of this technology in an active pig plant at our stand.
KIESELMANN presented the inline process analysis system LIQUIGUARD 100i by Dausch Technologies GmbH as a technical highlight. This system determines and guarantees all quality relevant product parameters of your beverage during bottling or blending. From the first to the last drop of your bottling process, everything will be checked continuously and without time lag. In case of deviations in the product, a respective automatic control will be initiated immediately. Moreover, the responsible parameter will be directly displayed on the screen. With this method, precious medium and time can be saved while the quality for the whole batch is guaranteed and verified. The compact and appealing unit built by KIESELMANN can be integrated in almost every beverage production.
We would like to thank all visitors, who came to see us at our booth during Intervitis.
If you didn't have a chance to join the Intervitis, our information material is avalible on demand. Please send us an E-mail: sales@kieselmann.de

Safe processes with the suitable tools
This is the motto under which KIESELMANN will present at the Drinktec ’09 its programme which helps to maximise product safety and hygienic safety.
The new inline process analysis system LIQUIGUARD 100i from DAUSCH Technologies GmbH, determines and ensure quality relevant product parameter of your beverage during bottling or blending. From the first to the last drop of your bottling, everything is checked continuously and without time lag. The centre of the aseptic plant is an absorption spectroscopic inline measuring instrument, integrated in a GEMBRA twin valve as well as an appropriate analysis and control unit. In case of deviations, the transformation is immediately realised in a control signal. In addition, the responsible parameter is directly indicated on the screen. It is thus possible to save valuable medium and time and the product quality for the whole batch can be guaranteed. In almost every beverage production, there is enough place for the compact and appealing unit which is made by KIESELMANN.

Saving costs and optimising process times has never been more topical than today. As the first step, a measurable improvement can be achieved using product recovery systems based on pigging technology. This technology is used to press out the residual product from pipelines post transfers etc. Unnecessary costs which arise from the loss of this valuable rest material as well as large volumes of water are thus virtually eliminated. After the success of the adjustable Duplex pig, KIESELMANN will now also present an aseptic version. Unlike with traditional construction methods, the aseptic pigs are supplied cast in a single piece with an integrated sensor detectable part. Due to an integrated wear indication the application has become even easier and safer. Also the aseptic versions will pass without any problems through DIN bends / tees as well as KIESELMANN ball valves, mix proof double seat valves and tube in tube heat exchangers.
The new bunging valve also reliably makes for processes with constant product quality. Thanks to a new construction, the adjustment range could be extended from 0.2 to 2 bar. The response accuracy was likewise noticeably improved.
GEMBRA is without any doubt one of the best aseptic valves on the market. Due to its metallic support, its diaphragm sealing is much more resistant to pressure blows than valves in bellows version and can thus also be flowed against laterally. Its construction and the smooth surfaces of the diaphragm guarantee that unrinsed areas are a thing of the past. Because of the great demand, the programme was extended by a tank bottom valve for aseptic processes. It can be cleaned in parallel to bottling and thus makes for an optimum in aseptics also in the bottling segment.
You will find KIESELMANN in hall A3, stand 346 – a visit which is certainly worthwhile!

Product safety due to hygiene
KIESELMANN showed at ACHEMA ’09 new and reliable products, which maximise production safety and hygienic safety.
The new KIESELMANN orbital cleaner OrbiJet gives germs and contaminations in tanks and containers no chance. The water hydraulic orbital cleaning head with almost loss free throughput does not require any kind of electric connection. It can be installed at any place and into each position of the tank. During the process, liquid passes through all moveable parts. OrbiJet thus reaches an extremely high service life and operational safety. The head has a self cleaning design. Due to stream geometries, the number of nozzles and rotational speed the cleaner can be adjusted according the requirements of the customer. The cleaner which consists a few component parts also sets standards in respect of its easy maintenance.
The aseptic valve programme GEMBRA® also provides high production safety and hygiene. The valves produced in a combination of diaphragm and seat technology are characterised by an extremely high pressure, vacuum and temperature resistance. Due to a metallic support of the diaphragm the pressure hammer resistance is much higher than on valves in bellow version and it also resists flow from the side. In addition, the smooth surface of the diaphragm sealing can be cleaned completely. K-flex sealing elements guarantee a very high temperature and medium stability. Compared with traditional versions, these valves achieve noticeable cost advantages with an increased reliability at the same time.
It is nearly impossible to see the result of an investment referring to time and money savings within a short time – the Duplex pig technology, however, is a technology which makes it possible. This technology is used to separate product media from water/Cip safely. Valuable raw materials and large volumes of water can particularly be saved during the cleaning cycles. The Duplex pig technology is applied for safe product separation and for the separation of product and water respectively. Duplex pigs can be moved without any problems by means of standard DIN bends / T-pieces and also Kieselmann ball valves, piggable double seat valves and double tube heat exchangers. Thereby, they empty and clean the pipeline. The position of the pig can be supervised at any time and in all parts of the plant. KIESELMANN pigs can be applied in both directions, manual removal or additional feedback is no longer necessary. They can be adapted individually by adjusting the initial tension to the medium which has to be moved. Many existing plants can be retrofitted to this ecologically friendly technology without any problems.
KIESELMANN double seat valves provide a safe separation of product an cleaning media. Due to the application of high quality materials like k-flex for the sealings and stainless steel for the housings, these valves are the perfect solution for chemistry and pharmaceutics. The PTFE material k-flex is extremely resistant against high temperatures and aggressive media. The divided piston allows the use of form-seals and avoids contamination behind the seal. The leakage chamber is are cleaned by lifting or lowering of the valve disks. For the control of the double seat valves, different bus compatible control heads even with emergency stop function and lifting/lowering feedback without external sensors are available.

| Anuga FoodTec New's |
|
Anuga is without a doubt the most important trade fair for food and beverage production. The exhibition took place in Cologne from March 10th to 13th 2009.
KIESELMANN presented new products which maximise production safety and hygienic safety in food production. Besides perfect raw materials, also hygienic plants and components are the decisive factor for assured product safety.
The new KIESELMANN orbital cleaner OrbiJet gives germs and contaminations in tanks and containers no chance. The water hydraulic orbital cleaning head doesn’t require any kind of electric connection. It can be installed at any place and into each position of the tank. The sole condition, namely a liquid pressure of minimum 4 bar, can be fulfilled by any plant. During the process, liquid passes through all moveable parts. OrbiJet thus reaches an extremely high service life and operational safety. The head is additionally equipped with a very effective self cleaning. The performance of the cleaner is optimally adjusted to the cleaning requirements due to customised stream geometries, the number of nozzles and rotational speed. The almost loss free permeation of the head with unique surface quality as well as the first class materials offer high efficiency.
The aseptic valve programme GEMBRA also provides high production safety and hygiene. The valves produced in a combination of diaphragm and seat technology are characterised by an extremely high pressure, vacuum and temperature resistance. Due to a tangential incident flow and a metallic support, the diaphragm sealing disposes of a noticeably higher shock pressure resistance than valves in bellows version. In addition, the smooth surface of the diaphragm sealing can be cleaned safely. K-flex sealing elements guarantee a very high temperature and medium stability. Compared with traditional versions, these valves achieve noticeable cost advantages with an increased reliability at the same time.

| KIESELMANN at the BRAU Beviale '08 |
|
KIESELMANN showed new products at the BRAU Beviale in Nürnberg, Germany:
Long-term production planning
Flexibility for future extensions without comprehensive capital lock up is the advantage of the new KIESELMANN double seat valve blind insert. The blind insert is used as a placeholder for a double seat valve insert and provides simple retrofitting of valves and valve manifolds. Subsequent sawing and welding as well as tensions in the manifolds resulting from it are omitted. Valve housing and blind insert are immediately built into the valve matrix according to the long term planning. The valve retrofitting is carried out quickly and simple and without any contaminations caused by chippings in the pipeline system. Just open the clamp sealing, pull out blind insert, put in valve insert, close clamp sealing and the valve can be taken into operation. The blind insert with its EHEDG conform design is characterised, amongst others, by depressurised leakage discharge, shock pressure resistance up to 50 bar and minium product shear due to systematic flow direction.
The new GEMBRA® valve programme was extended by an aseptic tank plug valve. In practice, this means high production reliability due to extreme pressure, vacuum and temperature resistance. Compared with traditional versions, the GEMBRA® specific k flex® diaphragm sealing technology achieves considerable cost advantages which increase with the maintenance cycles. The reason is the diaphragm support with tangential approaching flow. The shock pressure resistance is thus noticeably higher than in bellow type valves, whose most often cause of damage is the lateral approaching flow of the bellow body.
Apart from that, GEMBRA® aseptic valves are also available as single seat valves, divert valves and as leakage proof double seat valves. Their advantage is an uncompromisingly hygienic design and the application of long time well proven and EHEDG certified technology. For a maximum in aseptic!

| Many visitors at the Kieselmann family party |
|
On Saturday, July 21st 2007, the whole Kieselmann team and their families were invited to a family party on the Kieselmann premises. More than 400 visitors attended the celebration, amongst others also the management from the joint venture company Sanky-Kieselmann in India. Business Manager Klaus Dohle welcomed the guests with a short retrospect to 70 successful years of company history. In the following part of his speech, he focused on the future of the company. He explained that the company has set the course for further growth due to new investments in new building and machinery amounting to altogether 5 million euros. Kieselmann is happy to present a turnover increase of 30 percent in the current year. That is why the Kieselmann success story will certainly continue, according to Dohle.
In his ceremonial speech, Heinz-Peter Hopp, the mayor of Knittlingen, emphasised the new investments just as the previous construction activities as a clear commitment to the locations of Knittlingen and Germany. According to him, 20 new jobs were created in 2007 alone and this naturally made the municipality extremely happy and could thus be considered as evidence for the successful cooperation with the municipality.
The guests were also enthusiastic about the supporting programme. Magician Sattelini as well as the jugglers and fire-breathers “Les Treables” fascinated the visitors and made the childrens’ eyes twinkle. The Band “die bottles” stroke the right note. They presented excellent music unplugged and quasi “handmade” which made almost every visitor shake a leg. The small guests could have their face painted or enjoy an ice cream from Ice Mario or even jump around wildly in the bouncing castle. And, as customary, Kieselmann offered manifold culinary titbits and beverages.

| Kieselmann Duplex pig technology at Intervitis |
|
It is rarely possible to save costs and time veritably and at short notice due to selective investments – the Duplex pig technology, however, is a technology which makes it possible. At the trade fair Intervits, Kieselmann was going to concentrate on this topic. Valuable raw materials and large volumes of water can particularly be saved during the cleaning cycles with this technology. The Duplex pig technology is applied for safe product separation and for the separation of product and water respectively. Duplex pigs can be moved without any problems by means of customary DIN bend / tees and also Kieselmann ball valves, blending-safe double‑seat valves and double‑pipe heat exchangers.
State‑of‑the‑art valve technology was also going to be exhibited, e.g. the newly developed aseptic double‑seal valve GEMBRA, which sets standards in many respects. In the sector of control technology, the new control head ASI‑BUS 100 will be presented. Due to the internal position indication and the automatic learning modes, it is extremely user and service friendly.
